Yesterday I created my first painting and was very happy with the end result. I found that the process of painting made me feel "happy" if you will. I went into it with an open mind and no picture to work towards. I knew I wanted a landscape scene and wanted to attempt the wet on wet of those like Bob Ross etc. However I didn't have the thinner needed for cleaning my oils. I instead went with acrylics since water is in abundance lol. The acrylics I found dry quickly and in some moments I thought I would tear the canvass trying to get the colors to blend and move. In the end my first creation was satisfactory to me and ultimately thats the goal. My wife was amazed and quickly claimed it for her own lol! I loved the work from begining to end and see my walls filling up with original work in the near future!
